How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor or nurse will give you injections, starting weekly for 7-15 weeks with a dose that slowly gets bigger. After that, you'll get a maintenance dose of 100,000 SQ-U/ml every 6-8 weeks for 3-5 years.

This medicine is given as an injection under the skin of your arm by a doctor or nurse.

Important

The highest recommended dose for one injection is 100,000 SQ-U/ml.

  • Hair growth or bruising where the shot was given

Important Warnings

  • Don't use this medicine if you're allergic to any part of it.
  • Don't use this medicine if you have a sickness that affects your body's defense system, have cancer, or have had bad asthma recently.
  • Don't use this medicine if you have a fever, an infection, or have had allergy problems (like hay fever or skin rash) in the last 3-4 days.
  • On the day you get your shot, don't do hard exercise, take hot baths or saunas, or drink alcohol.
  • Stay at the clinic for at least 30 minutes after each shot so they can watch you for allergic reactions.

  • Get help right away if you have serious allergic reactions, like hives, swelling of your face or throat, trouble breathing, or if your asthma gets much worse.
  • Tell your doctor before your next shot if you had any bad effects after the last one.
