Possible Side Effects

RARE
  • Redness of the skin
  • Hives or rash (itchy skin)
  • Fever or chills
  • Nausea (feeling sick)
  • Severe allergic reaction (shock)
  • Headache
  • Confusion
  • Fast or slow heart rate
  • High or low blood pressure
  • Flushing (feeling warm)
  • Trouble breathing
  • Swelling around the eyes, nose, and mouth
  • Increased sweating

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to human albumin or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Tell your doctor if you have severe heart problems, high blood pressure, fluid in the lungs, bleeding disorders, severe lack of red blood cells, or cannot urinate, as an increase in blood volume could be dangerous.
  • If you experience symptoms of too much fluid in your body, like headache, trouble breathing, or high blood pressure, the infusion must be stopped right away.
  • If you show signs of an allergic reaction, the infusion must be stopped immediately.
  • Tell your doctor if you have a severe brain injury.
