Method

Albunorm is given as a drip into a vein. It should be warmed to room or body temperature before use. The solution must be clear and free of particles.

Possible Side Effects

Important Warnings

  • Do not use Albunorm if you are allergic to human albumin or any other ingredient.
  • Tell your doctor if you have severe heart problems, high blood pressure, fluid in your lungs, a bleeding disorder, severe lack of red blood cells, or cannot urinate, as increasing blood volume too much can be dangerous.
  • If you experience headache, difficulty breathing, or high blood pressure during treatment, the infusion must be stopped immediately.
  • If you show signs of an allergic reaction, the infusion must be stopped immediately.
  • Tell your doctor if you have had a severe head injury.
