Aethoxysklerol 30 mg/ml is a medicine used to treat varicose veins by making them close up.
The doctor will decide the right dose for you. It should not usually be more than 2 mg of the active substance per kg of your body weight per day.
The doctor will inject the medicine into your vein while your leg is flat or raised 30-45 degrees. After the injection, a tight bandage or stocking will be applied, and you should walk for 30 minutes.
Do not exceed 2 mg of the active substance per kg of body weight per day. For a 70 kg person, this means a maximum of 4.6 ml of Aethoxysklerol 30 mg/ml per day.
