How to Use

Dosage

For adults and children over 12, typically one inhalation twice a day for mild to moderate asthma. Your doctor may adjust your dose.

Method

Inhale the medicine through the mouth using the Autohaler device. The device automatically releases the dose when you breathe in.

Important

Do not exceed the daily dose prescribed by your doctor. It can be up to 16 inhalations (50mcg) or 8 inhalations (100mcg) for adults and children over 12, and up to 4 inhalations (50mcg) for children 5-11.

Possible Side Effects

COMMON
  • Sore throat
  • Hoarseness, bad taste in mouth
RARE
  • Headache, dizziness
  • Cough, worsening asthma symptoms
  • Nausea
  • Hives, skin redness, purple spots on skin
  • Tremor
  • Thinning skin, easy bruising
  • Blurred vision
  • Hyperactivity, sleep problems, anxiety, aggressive behavior (especially in children)

Important Warnings

  • Do not use this medicine if you are allergic to beclometasone or any other ingredients.
  • Talk to your doctor before using this medicine if you have tuberculosis.
  • Do not use this medicine during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless your doctor has specifically approved it.
  • Do not stop using this medicine without first talking to your doctor, even if you feel well.
  • If you experience signs of a severe allergic reaction (such as itching, rash, swelling of the eyelids, face, lips, or throat) immediately after taking a dose, stop using the inhaler and seek medical help right away.

  • If you experience worsening cough or shortness of breath immediately after using the inhaler, stop using it, use your fast-acting asthma reliever, and seek immediate medical help.
  • Contact your doctor if you experience blurred vision or other vision problems.
