How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor will tell you the exact dose. Typically, adults take 1 to 4 puffs twice a day. Children over 5 usually take 1 to 2 puffs twice a day.

Method

Breathe out gently, place the mouthpiece in your mouth, and breathe in slowly while pressing down on the canister. Hold your breath for about 10 seconds, then breathe out. Rinse your mouth with water after use.

Important

Do not take more than your doctor has prescribed. For adults, usually no more than 8-16 puffs per day depending on the dose strength. For children over 5, usually no more than 2-4 puffs per day depending on dose strength.

  • Sore throat
  • Hoarseness
  • Bad taste in mouth
RARE
  • Headache
  • Dizziness
  • Cough
  • Worsening of asthma symptoms
  • Nausea
  • Hives
  • Red skin
  • Purple spots on skin
  • Tremor (shaking)
  • Blurred vision
  • Restlessness, sleep problems, anxiety, or aggressive behavior (mostly in children)
  • Skin thinning or easy bruising

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are allergic to beclomethasone or any other ingredient in this medicine.
  • Talk to your doctor if you have tuberculosis.
  • Contact your doctor if you experience blurred vision or other eye problems.
  • If you get itching, rash, red skin, or swelling of eyelids, face, lips, or throat soon after taking a dose, stop using Aerobec and seek medical help right away. This could be a severe allergic reaction.
  • If you experience coughing or shortness of breath right after using the inhaler, stop Aerobec and use your fast-acting asthma reliever, then get medical help immediately.
