How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor will tell you the right dose, usually starting at 30 mg, but possibly 20 mg, and may increase it later.

Method

Take one capsule every morning with or without food. You can swallow the capsule whole with water or open it and mix the contents into yogurt, water, or orange juice; consume immediately.

Important

The maximum daily dose is 70 mg.

  • Liver damage (yellowing of eyes or skin)
  • Skin swelling or severe blistering rash (Stevens-Johnson syndrome)
  • Shortness of breath or swollen ankles (sign of heart muscle disease)
  • Excessively wide pupils
  • Aggression
  • Poor circulation (numb and pale fingers and toes, Raynaud's phenomenon)

Important Warnings

  • Do not take Adixemin if you are allergic to lisdexamfetamine or other amphetamine medicines.
  • Do not take Adixemin if you are taking or have taken an MAOI antidepressant in the last two weeks.
  • Do not take Adixemin if you have thyroid problems.
  • Do not take Adixemin if you have had heart problems, such as a heart attack or an uneven heartbeat.
  • Do not take Adixemin if you have high blood pressure.
