How to Use

Dosage

Your doctor will tell you the right dose; it often starts at 20 mg or 30 mg.

Method

Take one capsule every morning with or without food, either swallowed whole with water or mixed into soft food or liquid.

Important

Do not take more than 70 mg in one day.

  • Fast or irregular heartbeat (palpitations)
  • High blood pressure
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea
  • Constipation
  • Weight loss
  • Excessive sweating
  • Stomach pain
  • Teeth grinding (bruxism)
RARE
  • Fever
  • Unusual talkativeness
  • Feeling depressed, anxious, low, or uneasy (dysphoria)
  • Unusually high spirits or excitement (euphoria)
  • Compulsive skin picking
  • Unusual drowsiness
  • Itching, rash, or red, itchy bumps (hives)
  • Blurred vision
  • Metallic taste or altered sense of taste (dysgeusia)
  • Fainting
  • Nosebleed

Important Warnings

  • Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to lisdexamfetamine or other similar medicines.
  • Do not take this medicine if you are currently taking or have taken certain depression medicines (MAOIs) in the last 14 days.
  • Do not take this medicine if you have thyroid problems or very high blood pressure, or a type of eye problem called glaucoma.
  • Do not take this medicine if you have heart problems, such as a heart attack, irregular heartbeat, or a heart defect you were born with, or if you feel unusually excited or overly active.
  • Tell your doctor if you have ever misused drugs or alcohol.

  • Contact your doctor right away if you have a severe allergic reaction with swelling, breathing problems, or a sudden drop in blood pressure.
  • Contact your doctor right away if you see or hear things that are not real, or if you get seizures or abnormal heart rhythms.
  • This medicine can make you dizzy or cause blurry vision, so be careful when driving or using machines.
