Addaven is a medicine that provides your body with small amounts of important trace elements you usually get from food, given as an infusion when you cannot eat normally.
Adults typically receive 10 ml daily. For children over 15 kg, the dose is 0.1 ml per kg body weight daily. Doses may be lower if you have liver or kidney problems.
Addaven is given as a drip into a vein (an infusion). It must be mixed with another solution before use. A doctor or nurse will prepare it correctly.
The recommended maximum daily dose for adults is 10 ml. For children, it's 0.1 ml per kg body weight.
