Acnatac gel uses two medicines, clindamycin and tretinoin, to reduce acne-causing bacteria and help skin cells renew normally, effectively treating acne for people aged 12 and older.

How to Use

Dosage

Apply a pea-sized amount to the affected skin area once a day, before going to bed.

Method

Wash your face gently with mild soap and warm water, then pat your skin dry with a towel. Squeeze a pea-sized amount of gel onto your fingertip. Dab the gel onto your forehead, chin, nose, and both cheeks, then spread the gel evenly over your entire face.

Important

Do not use more than a pea-sized amount once a day, as instructed by your doctor, to avoid skin irritation.

Important Warnings

  • Do not use if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant.
  • Do not use if you are allergic to clindamycin, tretinoin, or any other ingredient in this medicine or to lincomycin.
  • Do not use if you have chronic inflammatory bowel disease (e.g., Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis) or if you have previously had severe diarrhea or stomach cramps after taking antibiotics.
  • Do not use if you or your family have a history of skin cancer.
  • Do not use if you have a sudden, inflamed, red, dry, and scaly rash.

  • Do not use if you have rosacea (a skin condition causing redness, bumps, and peeling on the face) or other sudden inflammatory skin conditions, especially around the mouth (perioral dermatitis).
  • Do not use if you have severe types of acne with large pus-filled cysts or deep lesions (acne conglobata and acne fulminans).
  • Avoid contact with eyes, mouth, other sensitive areas, or broken skin. If it gets in your eyes, rinse with plenty of lukewarm water.
  • Women of childbearing age must use effective contraception during treatment and for one month after stopping.
  • Stop using and contact your doctor immediately if you experience severe or prolonged diarrhea or stomach cramps.
  • Avoid sunlight and sunlamps. Your skin will be more sensitive to sunburn. Always use sunscreen (SPF 30+) and wear protective clothing outdoors.
  • Do not use with other skin products or cosmetics at the same time.
